My fathers side of the family originated from Clack a village near Lyneham, I spent many happy days in and around the town, I can trace my ancesters back to approx 1794, I would love to be able to find John Caineys parents and sibblings, also his wifes family her name was Elizabeth Lawford, they had several children, Abel their son born 1828 and his wife Rosanna Summers who was born in Bremhill in 1829 it is Abels line whom I am a decendent. I have been back to Lyneham as often as I can, the town and its folk offer a warm welcome. I am impressed with your website, many interesting items. Well done.

I used to live in Lyneham as a child, my father was in the forces when I was born and when he came out of the RAF we settled in the village. I went to both the infant and junior schools before completing my education at the comprehensive in Wootton Bassett. Both myself and my two sisters were married at St Michaels and my father is buried there. My mother still lives in the village so I visit often. Nice website.
